During the morning service this past Sunday, I had a vision of the Bride of Christ from the Lord's perspective. I saw the Lord descending and stop, as he caught a glimpse of his bride that filled the sky with her stunning gown and bridal veil, representing the righteousness of the saints, as she had made herself ready. He was filled with inexpressible joy, love and wept from the sight of her! At last the day he had longed for had finally arrived and here she was waiting in the clouds, gloriously transformed, now finally together for ever, ready for the marriage supper and the place he has prepared for her.
This reminded me of my own wedding day as my husband stood for about 45 minutes at the alter, waiting for his bride to walk down the isle. My parents had gotten lost on I-285 so we all waited for their arrival [no cell phones either!] so my father could walk me down the isle to be joined to my soon to be, very handsome husband. When I joined him at the alter, he stood there crying as I was finally handed over to him, finally to be joined together, as the waiting was now over. This is what I thought about as I experienced this glorious vision, l I felt was from the Lord's view point.
SCRIPTURES:
[Rev 21:1-11 KJV] 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
[2Co 11:2 KJV] 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ.
[Jhn 3:29 KJV] 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
[Rev 22:17 KJV] 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
[Rom 12:5 KJV] 5 So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
[1Co 12:12, 18 KJV] 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ. ... 18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
