All Nature Sings!
Today while on my prayer walk, alone with the Lord, I was walking towards the entrance of our community and there was this beautiful flock of geese, around ten of them, some larger white ones, the rest wild geese, the colors you see in our area probably from migrations. When I was about to pass them feeding in our neighbors yard, I stopped to observe them and began to talk to them: "Good morning, little goosy babies, how are you today?" As I repeated this goose talk, they all in unison, huddled together neck to neck, answering me back as if in one song, one unified hello! The whole time I spoke to them, they did this loudly, happily as if singing. Then I stopped and began to continue my walk, and they immediately broke up their huddle and continued searching for food.
As I was on my way back, they were now on opposite side of the road and I thought, "It worked before, I will see what happens if I do it again so I stopped and again addressed them, speaking softly to them: "hello again little goosy family, I hope you all have a blessed day, and I kept this up and again, they stopped, flocked together in a little tight huddle singing a cute little goose song all together! I was thrilled and in complete awe! As I departed, they again stopped, spread out, and began eating. I was so touched by their response to my greeting, I began thanking the Lord for the experience when I heard him say: "It was ME with you that they recognized and were acknowledging and singing to."
What an awesome God we serve!
Scriptures:
Romans 1:18¶For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
24¶Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
25who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
